Leadership
Principal Daniela Jacobs
I am a career educator who wanted to be a teacher as early as the 2nd grade! I have lived in Northern Virginia, Colorado, Montana, Alabama, and California (yes, I was a military brat!!) I received my undergraduate degree from James Madison University (Go, DUKES!!!) and my Master of Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.
I have spent my entire career in Richmond Public Schools. Beginning in August 1991, I was a 2nd, then a 3rd grade teacher at Oak Grove Elementary. There, in 1993, I received the R.E.B Award for Teaching Excellence and traveled to Australia and New Zealand to study the Great Barrier Reef, rainforests, and their educational techniques. When I returned to RVA I helped to start a K/1/2 multiage program at Southampton Elementary. Later, I became the Assistant Principal at Linwood Holton Elementary before becoming the Principal at William Fox Elementary in July, 2005. In 2019, I was honored with the REB Award for Educational Leadership! With the Award money, along with more support from our PTA, we installed a new piece of Playground equipment for our students and the community to enjoy.
I am a proud Richmond City resident and live in Woodland Heights with my husband and 2 dogs. My husband is also an educator and serves as the Assistant Principal at the Richmond Technical Center. I have 2 sons who both attended RPS Schools (Fisher Elementary, Hill Middle, Thomas Jefferson HS, Maggie Walker Governor’s School). In my spare time, I like to cook, read, bike ride, do yoga, travel, and spend time with my three dogs and very active family.

Assistant Principal Stephannie Crutchfield
I am beyond excited to be joining the team here at William Fox Elementary. I have more than 40 years of experience at the central office level, as well as, school administrator serving as Principal and Assistant Principal in Elementary, Middle, and High schools, as well as classroom teaching experience as a business education, language arts and reading teacher. I have lived and worked in Memphis, Indianapolis, and Washington, DC, as well as, Chesterfield, Charles City, Petersburg and most recently Richmond City Public School, as the Manager of School Improvement. As a classroom teacher I worked in King William County, Isles of Wight County, Halifax County, Mecklenburg County, and Petersburg, as well as Memphis, and Indianapolis. I spent several years relocating with my husband throughout his career with the Federal Government which provided a wealth of opportunities to gain insight into the best practices to be implemented that would increase student achievement.
During my tenure at each school we achieved full accreditation by implementing innovative teaching strategies to meet the needs of all students through high quality professional development for all stake holders. My students are my extended family and are always treated in that manner. I want the best for them, just as I would my own children.
I am a proud alumus of Virginia State (College) University, receiving a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Business Education and Vocational and Technical Education. I also attended Indiana University- Purdue University and received a Masters in Administration and Supervision K-12, most recently completing a Certification in Special Education Administration
I am most proud to be a wife, a mother of two children and grandmother to grandsons Jadon and Jaxon, and an aunt to some very special nieces and nephews.
